Sean Black

Sean Black is an accomplished executive sales and business transformation leader with over 20 years of digital marketing experience and a combined 20 years of overall brand and marketing strategy. He has led global agency and enterprise growth for several sell-side organizations and currently serves as the SVP/General Manager at Dailymotion in New York, NY, where he leads the North America demand sales team.

 

Sean is skilled in creating proactive, accomplished sales cultures, working with, influencing and collaborating with cross-functional leadership, understanding the use of data for decision making, forecasting, and informing strategy, coaching and mentoring, P&L management and budgetary insight, infrastructure, team structure, processes and systems to support the success of the sales team, with a mind to continuous improvement, and navigating and developing larger commercial and revenue frameworks.

 

He has multi-platform experience (Programmatic/Video/OTT/Mobile), is experienced in process & risk management, and has a unique and rare view of the marketplace, taking brand strategies and business objectives beyond paper and delivering first of its kind creative thinking married with holistic, insight-driven approaches. Sean manages from inside a team, being a true coach in developing group vision while driven to build new opportunities encouraging thinking ahead of the marketplace to increase revenue.

Some of Sean's significant achievements include leading all Global Agency frameworks and MSA development as the Head of Enterprise Partnerships & Agency Growth Revenue Team at FreeWheel, creating the first Global Media deal for FreeWheel Media and Nestlé & Adidas, building the 2020 FreeWheel Media and Supply Strategies, and delivering overall $20M in total revenue. As the Global Head, Agency Development & Partnerships at Dotdash, he managed all C-Suite relationships across all agency Hold-Co’s and developed Dotdash’s first agency and brand frameworks to drive revenue and increase new business, delivering over $2MM within first 6 months.

 

Previously, Sean has held positions such as the EVP Head of Digital Investment U.S. at Amplifi/Dentsu Aegis Network, North America Media Services Lead at SapientNitro, Managing Partner, Group Digital Director at MediaCom, and SVP Managing Director, Digital Integration/ACTIVE International at Pearl River, NY. He is an excellent coach, mentor and has the ability to quickly assess top talent to build a winning team. Sean has a bachelor's degree from University Of Rhode Island and has attended several professional development courses.
